RADFORD, Va. -- The Coastal Carolina women's track and field team left little in doubt Saturday in winning its fourth consecutive Big South Conference outdoor championship. The Chanticleers (228 points) dominated the meet particularly on the final day in edging Liberty by 99½ points to bring home the title to complete NCAA running's version of the triple crown winning cross country, indoor and outdoor track and field championships in the same school year. The Chants led by just 19½ points going into Saturday. "We surpassed even my expecations," said Coastal coach Alan Connie, who was named coach of the year. "It was an awesome day." Ikeiylah Brown, who was named women's oustanding track athlete of the meet, bettered her NCAA regional qualifying marks both set in the preliminaries in winning the 100 meters (11.59 seconds) and 200 (23.42) in Big South-record times. She also anchored the championship 1,600-meter relay team which also included Santresa Jamison, Vondeeshia Humphries and LeAuna Sistrunk. Their time was 3:46.20. Sistrunk also.....
